The Leas at Dusk
The Leas at Dusk. What I love about the Leas is how much its atmosphere changes depending on the conditions. Oil on canvas 20” x 30” Original painting and prints available 😀
Holywell Primary School
This morning’s demonstration at Holywell Primary School which is located near the Thames Estuary. The school’s classes are named after the historic Thames barges which feature in this painting. It’s again a new style of video for demonstrations rather than the timelapse - what’s your verdict?
Utter Chaos
Conservative MP for Folkestone Damian Collins just came canvassing into my studio so I showed him this painting and suggest he use it as his profile pic
A-level Piece
My A-Level exam piece! It’s exam season so big love and support to all you going through that right now. I spent today helping out my mum with a few chores and saw that she STILL has this painting hanging on her wall so had to share. I remember the given exam subject was ‘Queuing’ ! And it was painted with acrylic on paper while mainly listening to Steve Wright… I loved painting so much, even back then, but didn’t consider studying it after and went on to study French, Sociology and Law at university but never, ever lost my love for painting…
Andi Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts
This evening I am on Andi Oliver's show! It's the Folkestone episode this eve on BBC2 at 8pm. I'm asked to paint a painting for her multicultural festival held at the bandstand and had very little time to complete it!!
Parade Steps
Latest. Parade Steps, Folkestone. I hope this painting speaks for itself... For some climbs we have reason to be optimistic - even if it’s tough - as there is light and warmth ahead. Oil on canvas 22” x 30”. As always, much love, SR

Paint for the Planet
Next Sunday (17th March) at 12pm I will be on the Leas, Folkestone, creating a large (2.5 metre probably!) painting to paint for the planet! I will be painting for 2-3 hours. I am delighted to be joining forces with @folkestoneclimatecarnival, a dedicated local environmentalism group who will be there to talk about all things environmental. Please come along to this free event! See you there 😀
